It was a beautiful thing, Life. And Life's Goddess, Iya, certainly made it so. She was vibrant, brimming with energy and beauty.Until she wasn't.There was a time, that wherever Iya walked, the plants bloomed, and the rivers flowed. She was happy, alight with joy and love. Oh the love she had for Life. And the love, the near obsession one held for her.Eseok was a shrewd, obsessive man, and only sought what could benefit him the most. A sickly man, he coveted Iya's energy and justified it as love for the Goddess. He didn't love Iya. He loved Life, and all it had to offer him. To merge Life and Death, it would be chaos, and he would revel in that Chaos, own it, Lord over it. But first, he had to claim the Goddess, to claim her power. But Iya rejected him.More than that, in Eseok's eyes, Iya never acknowledged him. And in her own eyes, she was never anything more than civil to the man, but still he persisted. Her every waking moment was filled with Eseok, and his attempts to woo the Goddess of Life. The others laughed at him, and his anger grew and grew, until he saw Iya with another. Zeru, the God of the Sky. Iya had spent many of her evenings with him, drinking and dancing, laughing and more. They grew ever closer, and Eseok's anger and jealousy turned into a rage. He would spend many a day plotting their demise, and take that Life Energy by force. One fateful night, where the line between the mortal and the gods were thinnest, Eseok brought Zero the gift of wine, and in that wine, held a tonic to sleep. As he'd predicted, after the festivities, Zeru brought Iya with him, and the pair drank until they slept, and then it was time for Eseok to strike. A blade in Iya's hand, and the breath of the Sky God forever stilled. And Iya slept for hours, blissfully unaware of what was to befall her.Morning came, and when the beloved pair did not return, the gods and the goddesses laughed among themselves, joked the lovers had slept in, but when night began to fall, the worry grew, and they took it upon themselves to enter the Sky God's home, Eseok bringing up the rear. And what they saw was a terrible sight.Iya, had awoken next to her lover's lifeless form, the blade in her hand. She didn't remember the night before, and in a moment of disbelief, tried to wake Zeru. She grew frantic, and her cries grew louder, echoing against the walls, those cries turning into screams. And that's why her fellow gods saw."You killed him…" Eseok spoke with finality, confidence, unlike the man. He began to sow the seed of doubt in the Celestial's minds, and Iya shook her head."No! It was not me… I do not remember…" She cried and she begged for the others to listen, but they shook their heads and refused to look at her."You have the blade in your hand and Zeru's blood upon you. So greedy for more Life, did you not have enough?"Iya was chained down while the gods discussed what to do with her.Eseok petitioned for her demise, a life for a life, he said. She might come after the others, he said. Eseok tried, but others decided on exile. And so she was taken to the realm's edge, and it was Eseok, as the God of Death, who pushed her off. He leaned in close and with a cruel whisper, pushed her out of Celestia."You should have just loved me."Iya fell for what felt like hours, disbelief in her eyes, her power, her energy already leaving her. The gods, hadn't listened to her and had tossed her aside just as easily as trash. She curled up, tears falling, crystallising in the cold air. Iya felt cold, alone, lost, her heart broken. She floated in the void, wallowing in her sorrow, until a voice reached out to her."Come child, let me help you…"Warmth surrounded Iya, and she opened her eyes to see light, stars and constellations and the brightest colours. But she did not see who had spoken, for it wasn't a person. She had fallen into a cosmos, a being so vast that he filled his own little pocket."Who are you?""I am Nevi.""Nevi?""Yes, I will help you.."Nevi had seen her unjust treatment, and how quickly her power was fading. Undeserved, Nevi wished to help this little Goddess. Iya was cautious, hesitant, but her flame was quickly dying out, and so she readily agreed.
Nevin had offered a place within his Cosmos, where her breath of Life would strengthen, where Iya would be safe. She would become a realm, far more potent than the little breath she had left. And Iya agreed. She was terrified of losing her Life, and if this Nevi could help her find a way, then Iya would do what he needed. The power grew within Iya, swelling and growing until it became too strong for Iya to hold. In a burst of light, Iya exploded outwards, matter and light and atmosphere surrounding her, a world forming from her.The Goddess' form disappeared, and in its place lay the realm, comfortably nestled in a little pocket of Nevi, where he watched over her, sprinkling in his power every now and then to keep her stable. It was an unusual kindness, for him to help such a tiny being, a blip in his long years, but something about her had caught Nevi's attention, and so he would keep her safe.It would be years until the realm was completely populated, and more still until the very first Krisânge were born. The Children of Iya herself.
When one falls, their death becomes life, and bleeds into the ground beneath them, causing Kristali to grow around them. That very same life energy splits into each Kristalis, and within each, a child will begin to grow. Each pod never contains more than six Kristali and rarely less. A Fallen will never see the newborns, and once the life transference is complete, the Fallen will return to the ground, crystalline flowers sprouting where they once were.It takes 14 months to fully form, from embryo to adulthood, but that does not mean the newborns will immediately hatch. Some arrive instantly, but some may take years to exit their Kristalis. They are aware of their surroundings, and will only hatch when they feel safe to do so. If by this time, a tribe has moved on, a few Krisângi will be left behind to watch over the newborns, and will either find their tribe again, or begin a new one. While the Krisânge vary wildly in appearance, there are common grounds. All are born hornless, and all will grow horns.Their skin tones tend to take on colours of their surroundings, which also decide which Kristali a Krisângi has. They may take on certain attributes of wherever they're born. For instance, if their Kristalis grows in a patch of ink cap mushrooms, the Krisânge may take on their colours, the textures and so on and so forth. The reason for this is even though the Fallen would have returned to the ground, the Kristalis still draw life from their surroundings, from the trees, the ground, even the rain and the sky. Nature itself fuels the newborns. When their horns grow in, they are almost always crystal tipped, which with age will begin to envelop the rest of the horns, until the "bone" is no longer visible.Krisânge are a hoofed species, and much like their horns, these hooves are crystalline. They have a somewhat natural glow.Their tails are thick and are lined with crystal spines, ending in a unique shape. Nature helps form the newborns, and so it is never known what it will look like.Being an almost entirely crystalline species, their very skeletons are made of the same material as their Kristalis, horns and hooves. This enables the spines to grow through the tail, the horns to grow, and the hooves they walk on. The crystal armor that forms over their bodies when injured comes from the skeleton growing through open wounds, and forming over the skin, giving an extra boost against damage. That being said, this exposed skeleton is sensitive to cold, and once exposed, may come brittle, easy to break.Blood is opalescent, a pearl like colour, only really shining when light is shone onto it. This blood holds a universal antidote, which gives the Krisânge a natural resistance to poisons, usually naturally occurring ones. Given enough exposure, they can become resistant to chemical based ones.Once a Krisângi surpasses a certain age, a new ability will begin to manifest. Usually it comes with a stronger connection to their element, better manipulation over it. This stronger connection allows the Krisângi to become one with their element, lose their physical form, and become an elemental. This is a last resort ability, usually if a Krisângi is close to death, and their tribe close to being wiped out. This elemental form will destroy any and all adversaries in their path, and when all are destroyed, it will become a dormant protector. This protector will follow their tribe, and may exist for millenia. There have been no known cases of an Elemental returning to their physical form.Markings depict which element a Krisângi has control over, Indigo for Air, Green for Earth, Vermillon for Fire, Cerulean for Water, Gold for Light, Violet for Darkness and White for Spirit. These begin to form over the body with reckless abandon, becoming more intricate with more power.Air, Earth, Fire and Water Krisânge are the most common, and many tribes are formed of these.Light Krisânge are only born when a Kristalis forms over holy ground, or when a Celestial has been there.Spirit Krisânge are the rarest, and are often born when Death has encompassed the area where their Kristalis forms.Darkness, a type seen as evil, seen as the stain, are rare, somehow able to find their ways into Shadow WorldsRarer than Spirit, sometimes, A Krisângi is born with a Dual Kristali, and will gain control over two elements. Their control over these elements may be weaker than that of a normal Krisângi, they may have more control over one than the other.
Krisânge are an elemental species, and are blessed with elemental powers, which they call Kristali. A Krisângi's markings colour and shape will denote which Elemental one is. Shades can change depending on skin tone.AIR- BABY BLUE

TERMS
Krisânge- The species as a whole
Krisângi- Singular Krisânge
Kristali- The Power
Kristalis- The Chrysalis
The Fallen- The Parent
Unmarked- The ones with no power.Name of Species: Krisânge (Kree-sah-n-juh) Plural
Krisângi (Kree-sah-n-gee) SingularParent/Subspecies: N/ALifespan: 150-1000 yearsGeographical Preference (if any): Forestry, cave systems, somewhere densely populated by nature, in order to hide better.Religion: No religion. They believe whatever the Matriarch and Patriarch of the tribes say, and follow, most often without question.Lifestyle: Krisânge are heavily nomadic by nature, and as such, never stay in a single place for more than a couple of years. As soon as there's talk of hunters, the Krisânge are on the move. If there is a Kristalis in the area, a few Krisângi stay behind to protect the unborn. This often leads to a new tribe, where the most trusted is selected at Matriarch/Patriarch. When they are not on the move, the Krisange lead a simple life. They hunt and gather. Clothes and simple weapons are made, and the young are taught to hone their skills and powers. Nothing is wasted, and often, when the tribe moves, no trace of them are left. Very few branch out by themselves, but when they do, they always have temporary time with various tribes they come across.Ideals/Morals: Krisânge are Protectors above all else, but each tribes morals vary depending on their Matriarch/Patriarch. They follow those without question. That being said, Krisânge are Neutral for the most part, but outside aspects can influence an individual's morals.Family: Much like a Phoenix, The Krisânge are born from death. When a Krisângi reaches the end of their lifetime, they will find somewhere peaceful to pass, and often take 2-3 others with them, guards, so to speak. They select an area, whether it be near water or on volcanic land, or if in forestry, and lie down to quietly die. As they take their last breath, crystals begin to form around the Fallen, and each crystal begins to form s newborn. These crystals are what the Krisânge call a Kristalis. These guards will protect the Unborn for 14 months, until the Kristalis cracks, and the newborns emerge, fully formed and hornless. Tribes are often made up of the same type of Krisângi, unless they have moved to new land recently. If a Kristalis forms near water, then the Krisângi inside will end up being a Water Krisângi. This is the only way Krisângi are born.Aside from that, most Krisângi are monogamous, and will choose one partner. When a Krisângi mates, they mate for life. Before matehood, however, the Krisânge are an openly sexual species.Education: Education is hugely reliant on the tribe. From early on, new Krisângi are taught to hunt and gather, make clothes, weapons and food. They are then taught to control and hone their powers. Skill varies, and all get equal opportunity. Above all, they are taught loyalty and honesty, and that a Kristalis comes before anyone in the tribe, including the Matriarch/Patriarch.Hierarchy:
Kristalis- If and when a Kristalis is within a tribe, they are absolutely at the top of the hierarchy. They are to be protected at all costs, until death, if need be. When a newborn Krisângi emerges, they'll often keep a part of their Kristalis.
Matriarch/Patriarch- The heads of the tribes. They are often the most trusted, and the most powerful. They are chosen by the tribe themselves.
Priest/Priestess- These often have Spirit Kristali, and are extremely protected. They have the rarest Kristali, and as such, are highly revered.
Hunters/Gatherers- Tasked with providing food for the clan, they are an important asset to any tribe.
Menders, Tailors, Smiths- On par with Hunter/Gatherers, these provide clothing, weapons and such to the clan. They are also important.
The Unmarked- While extremely rare, these exist. They are seen as a punishment. Most Krisângi believe that an Unmarked is born if the Fallen has committed a grave sin. Unmarked, while not openly treated horribly, are often ignored, almost as if they are ghosts.
UNMARKED
These have no markings, and no Kristali.Though there is a hierarchy, everyone is treated with equal respect and trust, save for an Unmarked.Language: Though the Krisânge can speak, they prefer to communicate in a series of whistles, squeaks and signs. This is used if they're out in the open. When they feel safe, they will speak whatever language from the country they've chosen to reside in. They learn the common language as time goes on.Weak and Strong points:
STRONG POINTS:
Body Hardening- The Krisânge can form a layer of crystals over their body when in danger. These form an armor, and if need be, can be formed over a specific body part. When cracked, the armor can be flung from the body as a projectile. Can also be used to patch over wounds until they are safe
Poison Resistance- Due to their being forced into hiding, The Krisânge have evolved to have a resistance to poisonous plants, mushrooms, and animals. Their blood carries a natural universal antidote.
Crystal Tail Spines- These can be flung from the tail, with more taking up to 30 minutes to regrow. The amount of spines a tail has is dependent on the Krisângi.
Adaptability- Due to their nomadic nature, the Krisânge can adapt to their environments incredibly well.WEAK POINTS:
Cold Weakness-Krisânge are extremely susceptible to the cold. While their crystals are strong, the cold makes them brittle, and susceptible to breakage.
Weak to the opposite Element- If a Krisângi has power over Water, then they'll be weak to Fire, Light against Darkness, Air against Earth. Spirit has slight resistances to all of these, but they are incredibly rare.
Bashing Damage- Due to the Crystalline nature, Krisânge is incredibly weak to bashing damage. Piercing doesn't do much damage.
Distrustful- Due to constantly being hunted, the Krisânge are distrustful of anyone they consider outsiders.RARE ATTRIBUTES
